Gallery Director Rebecca Susan Weil studied photojournalism in the Newhouse School of Communication at Syracuse University. In 2004 she moved to Crested Butte, Colorado where she worked at the Crested Butte News as a photographer and continued to work on her own personal endeavors.
In 2006 she founded the first public darkroom and studio space in Crested Butte and is currently founder of Third Eye Photography and Artistic Director at Crested Butte Mountain Resort.
She has exhibited in numerous galleries in Colorado and is permanently showing her work in the Bacchanale Restaurant. Her work can be seen this summer in the Piper Gallery, the Baldwin Gallery and the Gunnison Center for the Arts.
She has been published in various newspapers and magazines as well as worked alongside some of the world’s greatest photographers, and her own personal mentors, such as National Geographic photographer, Joe McNally.
